WE Put the retro in
restoration

The Nevada was built on Long Sands Beach in the same century Elvis had his first breakout hit, “Heartbreak Hotel.” Seventy years later, we broke ground on a full restoration of the place — transforming it from a ‘motor motel’ into a hotel, while preserving the original building frame.

 Teal green sustainability

As a beachfront property, we're committed to fighting the climate crisis. We raised the original 1950s motel building 3.5 feet out of the current flood zone as part of our restoration, and we donate a portion of each stay to evidence-backed projects fighting the climate crisis.

Joe, Michelle, Chris and Liz have lived and done business full-time in York for decades. Their passion is taking over properties that would otherwise be acquired by 'Big Hotel' and preserving them. Joe and Michelle's daughter  Lydia runs Lulu's restaurant, and they're backed by Maine's most talented — shoutout Haven, Cam and Val!
