a Maine Hotel always ahead of the curve
Built in 1951, The Nevada was one of the first beachfront motels in Maine. In 2024, we fully restored this iconic beachfront spot and transformed it into a hotel — preserving the mid-century curvy structure, while adding modern comforts, thoughtful amenities, and good vibes unlike any other on the seacoast.

Beach Front Row Rooms
Each and every room at The Nevada has bright windows, a king-sized bed, and a dedicated deck and seats with ocean views of Long Sands Beach. The perfect space to breathe in York, Maine's crispy clean and salty sea air.

Modern AmenitieS
Midcentury Style
From the local Maine art exhibition throughout our hallways and beach chair/towels/games borrowing, to our check-in lounge doubling as a co-working cafe — The Nevada is thoughtfully designed for a boutique luxury Maine getaway.

Long Sands grassroots
Our owners have lived in York, Maine full-time for over 40 years. Upon hearing The Nevada might be demolished, they wanted to make sure York's historic hotel was properly preserved with independent ownership. They raised the building out of the flood zone and kept the mid-century design, while entirely restoring and enhancing everything else.

Ocean Front Bar and Restaurant
Lulu's is the modern tiki bar and pan-tropical restaurant at The Nevada, and this property keeps making history: Lulu's is the first restaurant in Maine to serve al pastor tacos made traditionally on el trompo — or a spinning vertical grill. Re-opening for the 2025 season on April 3rd.
